Taverna Sactouris

Our taverna at the village square ...

Our tavern is located directly in the heart of Sivas, exactly to the Platia opposite the old village church. We are open daily  from 4:30 p.m. (on Sundays and bank holidays already from 12:30).

Some our specialities:
  • chevon (young goat) with
    redwine-tomato-sauce
  • Kakavia (trad. fishermen soup)
  • Kleftiko (oven-stewed lamb)
  • savoury chicken filet with garlic
    au gratin
  • artichokes with herbage-
    lemon-sauce
  • okra (gumbo) with  tomato-sauce
  • Buburistus  - fried snails
  • stuffed courgette blossoms
  • 4 cheese Saganaki from the oven
  • red pepper stuffed
    with Feta-cheese
  • courgette pancake
  • Sactouris wild salad with ...?
    (Let us surprise you!)

and much more "goodies" ...

The tavern arose from the Kafenion of Sofias father Nikos, who unfortunately died in 2007. He ran the Kafenion since 1988 together with his wife Maria, until Sofia and Jannis opened the tavern in 2001on the very spot.

Apart from the tastefully furnished interior, the  tables in the outer area in front of the pictorial village church at the Platia with its large palm offer an unique atmosphere.
